Kevin A. Parrett - "The Last Continent: Bridging Global Studies & Antarctic Exploration"
Mr. Parrett will undertake multifaceted research and experiential study of Antarctica. He will participate in a research-based educational expedition to Antarctica, engaging with scientists and other experts to observe the Antarctic geography, climate, and ecosystems. He will document his findings through photographs, interviews, and field notes for educational use, and will research the Antarctic Treaty System, climate change, and international collaboration in the area. When he returns home to Kentucky, he will summarize his findings and work with the Central Kentucky Community Foundation, Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, and the Kentucky Community & Technical College System to share his findings.
